Ruai Grey Island Kitchen

This grey island kitchen in Ruai, Nairobi was designed around a central cooking island. We built grey handleless cabinets with a white marble top, set a gas hob into the island and hung a black cylindrical extractor above it. A peninsula with fluted timber cladding and under-counter lighting forms a breakfast area, and lit timber niches sit on the wall above. Hexagon splashback tiles, a glass-fronted pantry and a gypsum ceiling with LED strip lines complete the room. The family now has a modern kitchen with clear zones for cooking and eating.
